About Us
Supporting artists raising joy+environmental consciousness
The journey of PeriodicMe stems from my work in the humanities and teaching students about working together. Dr. Robert Putnam described atomization, and a rising mental health crisis I know well. As a teacher, I wonder a lot about this beyond my day-to-day duties. Since I had a habit of calling people together to play baseball, or put on a play—I began to explore whether arts and culture in public spaces can bring people together an ecological consciousness that equally counters r/latestagecapitalism and r/aboringdystopia.

R.F. Karim is an American-Indian-Pakistan-Gujrati Muslim who has called Houston his home for over 30 years. He finds great joy in playing basketball, creating community plays, and participating in public discourse. R.F.’s greatest passion is addressing the problems laid out by Dr Robert Punam–and the opportunity laid out by Jeremy Rifkin, for an empathic civilization.
Thank you
The journey of finding my best self has been non-linear. When I have fallen short in resilience, I’m sorry. Thank you for your guidance and support, Crystal, Rosario, Tihana, Petra, Mateo, Max, Nayyer, Rahil, Saliha, Xavier, Nicholas, Doug, Darrell, Myi, and Lauren. The planet is a gift to human civilization. That goal to preserve it requires us to see each other as potential compounds offering possibility. Follow along and see if we can get there. Nos Vemos!
